Program Outline
This training program builds each participant's understanding of leadership as opposed to management. The program equips participants to be 'impactful' - to make things happen, but in a way that is sensitive to the culture of the organisation.
Participants are introduced to the prevailing climate in which they must lead, the people they must lead and to the different styles of leadership.
Participants learn how effective, collaborative team structures, differ from other management structures and how to build an effective team. They learn how to achieve collaboration within the team, optimising the collective intelligence of team members. Participants learn how to gain concensus about, and commitment to, team decisions.
Applying and facilitating effective complex problem solving, and innovation, within the team, are other critical skills learnt in this training program.
Participants also learn strategic concepting - understanding what will give their organisation competitive advantage, and how to use lateral thinking to strategise the way forward. They learn how to plan and drive organisational change effectively.
Finally participants focus on the leadership skills that maximise their impact - having the political savvy to use power and influence prudently, forms the nucleus of this component of the training program.
