Program Outline
This training program involves the mastery of the principles, processes, behaviours and skills necessary to effectively identify, deal with, influence and initiate change. It also incorporates how to manage and support others through change.
The learning encompasses change from both a personal and organisational perspective. Participants learn the conditions that must exist for them to personally engage in change, and the three levels of skill that they can apply. In the program they apply their understanding of personal change to initiate a change that is important for them to make as an individual.
The training program equips participants to manage others through change and lead others by providing direction through the disorder, chaos and ambiguity that change brings to organisations. They learn to be both an agent and a champion of change. Participants learn the eight patterns of change. In the program they explore the patterns of change by reviewing how specific changes have been implemented in their organisation.
Participants learn that to successfully drive change there are three stages they must implement - Preparation, Acceptance and Commitment. They work as a group on a change they wish to initiate in the organisation, looking at what they need to move From and what they need to move To. They discover how to raise the discontent with the present condition which is necessary to fuel the change and they learn how to harness the forces of change. They learn how to create the conditions for each individual to embrace the change, and how to overcome resistance to the change.
The learning in this training program promotes in participants the desire to 'make things happen,' at both a personal and organisational level.
