Program Outline
The focus of this training program is on how to build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships, with people who are critical to the fulfilment of each participant's role.
Participants learn that how they 'assert,' or go out to people, largely determines how others respond to them; hence their professional image is critical. To have a positive professional image however, participants must first ensure that they always have a positive attitude and self image.
As well as learning how to develop and sustain a positive attitude and self image, participants in this training program, learn the different styles of communication that people use, and how to accommodate those styles. They learn how to use their voice and body language to convey confidence, conviction and openness to influence others.
The balance of this training program focuses on building and sustaining productive relationships internally and externally. Participants learn how to keep relationships open and honest. They learn the skills and behaviours necessary to develop respectful, trusting, value adding relationships which will improve business results and internal collaboration. Participants learn how to share perspectives with others, how to encourage others to share their perspectives openly and how to rebuild openness if the other party withdraws from the relationship.
Participants also learn how to convey their honesty and encourage others to respond in kind, building strong relationships where all parties have a genuine interest in seeking mutual gain, and long standing, productive relationships.
Finally, participants learn how to negotiate in a 'principled' manner, providing win/win outcomes while enhancing the relationship.
